Phil Douglas Collier

Phil Douglas Collier, 79, of Bladenboro passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare Angel House, Whiteville. He was born July 27, 1945 in Lumberton, NC, the son of the late Arthur Collier and Edelle Hester Collier.

Phil was beloved by his family and in his community. He was a man of strong faith and deep love for his family. He had many “titles” depending on who was talking to him, Daddy, Pop Pop, Uncle Phil and Mr. Phil. He was a faithful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. As much as he loved his family, it was evident by his life that he loved the Lord Jesus Christ, His Word, and His Church with all his heart, soul, and strength. Phil loved using his gifts and talents as he served the Lord through his local church at Western Prong Baptist Church.

Phil was a member at Western Prong Baptist Church. He graduated from Campbell College in 1968 and served in the US Army National Guard. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Gina Collier. He is survived by his three sons, Doug Collier (Traci) of Chapin, SC, Craig Collier (Casey) of Lugoff, SC, Jonathan Collier (Chris) of Easley, SC; grandchildren, Hannah Sassard (Ryan), Ty Collier, Grace Collier, Lily Collier, Gavin Collier, Corey Gillespie, Brady Gillespie; great grandchildren; Adalie Sassard.

His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, April 17, 2025 at Western Prong Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Western Prong Church Cemetery.

His family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm Thursday, prior to his service at the church.
