Patricia Ann Manning Ward of Bolivia, joined her heavenly father and loved ones on May 8, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eldred and Lucy Manning.
Patsy was born on August 31, 1946 in Wilmington, North Carolina. She graduated from New Hanover High School in 1964. In 1965 she married and began a family of her own. Patsy worked at Southern Bell Telephone Company and New Hanover Regional Medical Center before deciding to start a business, Wagon Wheel Produce, with her husband. In her free time she enjoyed cooking, needlepoint and putting together puzzles. But most of all she enjoyed, spoiling her precious Chihuahua, Sandy.
Patsy is survived by her husband of 60 years Noah Lee Ward one son Barcie Lee Ward (Beth) of Sunset Harbor and her sister Deborah Manning Stout of Wilmington. Patsy has seven grandchildren, Cameron Ward, Jameson Ward, Justin Ward, Elizabeth Ward, Sarah Caudill, Will Caudill (Kari) and Ben Caudill. She also leaves six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
Services will be held at 11 o’clock on Monday May 12, 2025 in the chapel of Worthington Funeral Home, in Chadbourn, NC with Pastor Charles Drew officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
At 2:00, Patsy will be laid to rest at Kings Memorial Garden in Leland, North Carolina.
The family welcomes donations in memory of Patsy to be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
