Oppressive heat could not stop the Riegelwood 6-U All-Stars as they defeated Mt. Pleasant and Stanley to take home the 2025 DYB 6-U state championship Tuesday.
After a loss to Mt. Pleasant, Riegelwood rebounded with a win against Mt. Pleasant 21-17, then beat Stanly All-Stars 16-15 to take home the title. The Riegelwood 6-U All-Stars will advance to the World Championship held in Dunn July 26-31.
