APS Presents Paws, Music and Moonlight Event

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office Animal Protective Services will be hosting a very unique event to bring together the community and help the furbabies in the shelter find their furever homes. ‘Paws, Music, and Moonlight’ will be a magical night filled with live music, local vendors, and plenty of furry friends to go around. The gathering will take place on July 19 from 7 p.m.- until at APS.

Animal adoption is crucial as of late at CCSO APS. On June 17, the facility announced that they were at max capacity and could no longer accept any strays unless it was an emergency situation. The shelter reached out to the community and pet rescue centers to secure a home for some of the creatures, and though a few of them got adopted, there are still several more in desperate need of a family to call theirs.

If you can’t adopt, you can help with the upcoming event. CCSO APS is in need of donations of tents, lights, decorations, and tables for ‘Paws, Music, and Moonlight.’ They are also currently looking for local artists, bakers, crafters, small business owners, and food truck enthusiasts to sign up to peddle their wares. Whether you sell handcrafted items, delicious treats, art, decor, jewelry, candles, or anything in between, the shelter would love to have you set up a table and hang out under the stars with them.
