Chadbourn water customers have been under a boil advisory after a water main break Tuesday. Some areas have had no water pressure while repairs continue. Residents are encouraged to boil water used for human consumption for one minute, or use bottled water.
Legislators are considering a bill that would outlaw the sale of Kratom, making it a schedule VI controlled substance, like Marijuana. The same bill will strictly regulate the sale of CBD infused substances of any kind, and require buyers to be at least 21.
State Wildlife officials and Lake Waccamaw leaders met yesterday to discuss Friday’s incident involving a 12 year old girl and a 12 foot gator on Waccamaw Shores. The girl is recovering. Biologists said there is no evidence the alligator was actively hunting the girl.
