Online Services Down for County Water Customers

County water customers are being required to pay their bills in person at the utilities office while new software goes online.

A notice via the county’s website says that upgrades to the utility department’s computer systems should be completed by June 10. Until then, the county cannot accept online payments. Drafts also will not be processed during the outage.

The revamp of the system will feature a new bill format, online bill pay portal, and a pay-by-phone system. Credit/debit card fees will be reduced with the new system, the notice says. Old utility account numbers will also no longer work.

The county also discourages users from paying through the “Doxo” platform. Doxo is not an official payment method for the county, and use of that system may result in lost payments and disconnections.
