Pilot, Passenger Identified in Saturday Crash

The Highway Patrol has identified the pilot and passenger of a plane that crash in Dothan Saturday.

Philip Porter, 69, and his wife Cheryle, 66, died when their twin engine Beechcraft baron plows into a wooded area at more than 250 miles per hour just after 1 p.m.

Porter had diverted from Grand Strand airport at Myrtle Beach due to storms in the area.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash.
