Columbus and Horry county authorities are searching for a possible plane crash near the Dothan area.
Columbus County Sheriff Bill Rogers said the plane dropped off Myrtle Beach radar around 1 p.m.
In addition to ground units from both counties, a private helicopter is involved in the search.
It has not been confirmed if the plane crashed or made an emergency landing.
