Next week, y’all! Get ready for an explosive Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza scheduled for next week!
We will celebrate our nation’s independence a day early on Thursday, July 3. Plan to join us at South Columbus High School for the 38th Annual Columbus County Fireworks Celebration as we let freedom ring. Gates open at 6 p.m. with entertainment cranking up at 7 p.m.
Come on out to SCHS and enjoy the live entertainment which will feature the Crenshaw Trucking Band.
Remember there is no admission fee and never has been throughout these 38 years. We will continue to work hard to keep it that way with the support of our generous sponsors. We are blessed with a business community that will pitch in financially to help us reach goals that benefit our community at large. Look for an ad soon listing the 2025 event sponsors. Be sure to tell them how much you appreciate what they do.
Don’t forget to come hungry as refreshments will be available for purchase. There will also be raffle tickets for various items and 50/50 raffle tickets as well as glow necklaces available for purchase.
Fireworks will ignite the sky at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The N.C. Yam Festival Association has been meeting monthly as they plan and prepare for the 54th N.C. Yam Festival to begin in October.
The next Yam Fest event will be the N.C. Yam Festival Scholarship Pageant, held Saturday, Oct. 4. The application packages are on the website at ncyamfestival.com as are the vendor and parade applications and much more!
The big Yam Fest day is Oct. 25. Mark your calendars. We look forward to seeing you there.
The Greater Tabor City Chamber of Commerce looks forward to serving our community. The days and hours of operation are Tuesday thru Thursday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Should you need assistance outside of these days and hours, please call 910.840.0292.
