In what investigators are calling “one of the most significant animal cruelty investigations in county history,” a Hallsboro woman faces 93 charges after nearly 100 animals were seized from inhumane conditions.
CCN WX UPDATE: Strong cold front for this time of year makes an approach by the middle of next week. This will increase our storm chances ahead of and along the front; storms will have much better coverage, especially Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Temperatures actually drop to below seasonal norms as we close out the next work week.
TROPICAL UPDATE: Nothing doing in the tropics. Still going to watch the northern Gulf for possible development later next week.
Chadbourn Police have arrested three people in a series of thefts in the town. Chief Ken Elliott said the suspects hit six different storage buildings and other unoccupied locations before allegedly breaking into the town warehouse. More than $35,000 in stolen property has been recovered.
