A woman was charged after she allegedly pointed a handgun at a large crowd at apartments on Mill Stream Drive Monday. Ernestine Victoria Jackson, 61, was charged with a single count of going armed to the terror of the public and released on unsecured bond. No shots were fired.

The Columbus Baptist Association has a growing list of ministries planned for the fall, but they need help from the community to continue to do their good works. Food donations, volunteers, coats, and sponsors are just a few of the little things that go a long way, and those that give are biggest blessing the CBA can ask for.
