The Food Bank of Eastern North Carolina will host two pop-up markets this month. On Monday, food will be distributed at Cerro Gordo Baptist Church from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Jerusalem Chapel in Chadbourn will host the food bank July 19 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 am.  There are no ID or financial requirements. Please bring your own bags and boxes.

Deputy Devin Mason will be eulogized on Tuesday at Cerro Gordo Baptist Church. The SC Darlington County officer died in the line of duty Tuesday. The suspect’s mother is now facing charges in the case.

Columbus County Library will host a blood drive July 16, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but you can sign up for an appointment by visiting www.redcrossblood.org. The library is located at 407 North JK Powell Boulevard in Whiteville.
