Columbus County is known for baseball, but don’t forget the ladies who are dominating a diamond of their own. This year in the Dixie Softball World Series in Louisiana, Columbus County will be represented by two teams.
The Central Columbus Darlings are undefeated going into the tournament while joining them will be the undefeated Central Columbus Angels. The Central Columbus Angels defense in particular was a force during the season holding teams three teams to one run and posting three shutouts.
