During their monthly Town Board Meeting, Lake Waccamaw commissioners on Tuesday emphasized their opposition to a proposed new development on Old Lake Road. Several citizens who spoke at the meeting urged the board to take a strong stance against the development, which is planned for about the miles from town on Old Lake Road. Commissioners also heard from residents concerned about the recent alligator attack that injured a local girl.
