Deputies are investigating a late night shooting near Chadbourn that injured one man Thursday.
Deputies were called to Williams Road just before midnight, where they found Patrick Davis, 30, with a gunshot wound to the right side of his head. A witness was attempting to help Davis, the report said.
Deputies secured the area and EMS transported the man to an area hospital. His condition was not immediately available. The investigation is continuing.
