Pharmacy Burglarized July 4

Two masked men broke into Crossroads Pharmacy, disabled the security system and took a quantity of medication early July 4.

Whiteville Police Chief Paul Rockenbach said the men shattered the front windows to gain access to the store in Whiteville Town Centre around 2:37 a.m. The suspects were described as black males wearing dark clothing and face coverings.

The pharmacy is taking an inventory of the stolen medications, Rockenbach said in a press release.

“The Whiteville Police Department’s Criminal/Narcotics Investigations Division is actively working to identify these suspects, and the case remains under investigation.”
