Three Charged for Prostitution, Meth

A Conway man and two women have been charged in a human trafficking, methamphetamine, cocaine and conspiracy case in Columbus County.

Hector Luis Mercado, 31; Julie Mae Aguilar, 42; and Carlie Alexis Turner, 31, were arrested Tuesday, according to detention center records.

Turner was charged with possession of meth; conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine and sale and delivery; conspiracy to commit armed robbery; felony conspiracy; promoting prostitution for profit; drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling of vehicle for drug activity. Her bond was set at $80,000.

Mercado, also of Conway, was charged with possession of methamphetamine; human trafficking, conspiracy to commit armed robbery; promoting prostitution; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine and opiates; and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for drug activities. His bond was set at $130,000.

Aguilar was charged with possession of methamphetamine; conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine and sale and delivery; conspiracy to commit armed robbery; felony conspiracy; promoting prostitution for profit; drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling of vehicle for drug activity. Her bond was set at $110,000. Her address was listed as Daytona Beach, Fla.

The sheriff’s office said additional details should be released later today.
