A wanted suspect led a chase from Columbus County into Robeson County Wednesday, causing a crash that injured a police officer and a civilian motorist.
August 20, Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Crystal Baker was injured in a car crash on Holden Beach Road. The driver of a Dodge Caravan crossed the center line and hit the unmarked BCSO vehicle that was traveling west head-on, according to the NCSHP.
Whiteville Police Department is currently accepting applications for three police officer positions opening up in October. Those interested in joining are asked to visit www.whitevillenc.gov/job/police-officer for details and application instructions.
