Jessie Lee Dixon, 73, was convicted of two counts each of indecent liberties with a minor and sexual battery in Bladen County Superior Court on Friday, according to the District Attorney’s office.
The International Paper fluff plant in Riegelwood has been purchased by American Industrial Partners (AIP), according to a press release from the company. The firm announced Thursday that its affiliate has signed an agreement to acquire the Global Cellulose Fibers division of International Paper.
Two residential developments have been put on hold or stopped entirely after county commissioners signaled a possible shift regarding planned unit developments at their Aug. 18 meeting.
