Landyn Jacobs was remembered tonight (Saturday) with a sunset service at Elizabeth Brinkley Park.
The rising East Columbus High School senior died Thursday in a single vehicle wreck on Canal Cove Drive at Lake Waccamaw. He was on his way to work with his father’s logging crew in the Green Swamp when he crashed an hour before dawn.
Hundreds turned out to honor the standout baseball player on the field where he played Dixie Youth ball for years.
Memorial ribbons are available at Village Prescription Center at Lake Waccamaw. Donations will go to the family.
