Ty Moss came home this week to Whiteville for his third Annual Football Camp.
The Ty Moss Camp, with Columbus County Recreation Department, had more than 100 youth between 5 and 17 show up on Monday and Tuesday. The camp instilled football drills such as running, catching, throwing, stance, tackling and other fundamentals.
βHydrate, fun, and respect,β are the three rules for the camp, Moss said. He brought some of his college teammates and former Whiteville players to promote and mentor at the camp.
βI want to motivate and encourage these kids as much as my coaches and community have motivated me.β
At Whiteville, Ty was a three-year starter for the Wolfpack and was named Columbus County Player of the Year Twice, in 2017 and 2019. He went on to play defensive back for two years at East Carolina. Moss is now at Tennessee Tech where he helped them win the Ohio Valley Conference Championship as co-champions, with a 6-2 conference record and 7-5 overall.
