Vaping may soon be regulated in Chadbourn. Town council tonight will hear a presentation from Health Department Director Daniel Buck and Ernest Watts will address the board on a possible vaping ordinance. The meeting is at 7:00 p.m. in town hall.

 

A Cerro Gordo woman was jailed after a long term investigation showed she was allegedly dealing in narcotics, and illegally possessed multiple firearms. Ruth Marlowe Strickland, 58, was charged with maintaining a dwelling for drug activities, 15 counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, and marijuana possession. Her bond was set at $52,500.00
