Pumpkins, and candy, and hayrides! Oh my! It’s the CCN Trick or Treat Guide for 2025. If your church or organization is having a fall festival or Halloween event, we want to know so we can spread the word. Email your submissions to crystalfaircloth@columbuscountynews.com.

Grissettown-Longwood Fire Department will be opening their haunted trail for another season of spookiness every Friday and Saturday evening from 7-10 p.m. during the month of October and from 7-10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, for Halloween night.    

Tickets are $20 per person, and you can get yours by calling 910.287.3030 or by visiting www.grissettownfire.com.  The station can be found at 758 Longwood Road in Ocean Isle Beach. 

Bladen County Public Library will host a Trunk or Treat at the main library branch on Oct. 24. Donations of candy is now being accepted. The library can be found at 111 North Cypress Street in Elizabethtown.  

The Downtown Whiteville crew will have their annual adults only costume party on Oct. 24 from 7-11 p.m. at Vineland Station. Join them for a night of frights and delights with a costume contest, food, drink and music. The cost is $10 per person. The venue’s address is 701 South Madison Street in Whiteville. 

The Hallsboro Church of God will be having their Trunk or Treat on Oct. 25 from 5-7 p.m. There will be games, candy and face painting. The church is located at 312 Giles Byrd Road in Hallsboro.  

The Town of Lake Waccamaw will have their annual Safe Night on Saturday, Oct. 25 at 6-8 p.m. at Elizabeth Brinkley Park. Get your costumes ready to have a great time.  

Anyone who would like to set up a booth or trunk or treat spot is asked to contact LWPD or LWFD. The park is located at 90 Bald Cypress Circle in Lake Waccamaw.  

The Town of Chadbourn will host at trunk or treat event at Town Hall on Oct. 25 from 2-4 p.m. Any local business is welcome to attend and promote themselves. Bring business cards, candy, and any other goods that might interest a crowd.

The Columbus County Farmers Market will have their very first ‘Haunted Market’ on Oct. 25 from 5-9 p.m. Bring the whole family for a spooktacular evening filled with trunk or treating, haunted ATV rides, delicious food, local vendors, a car show, and lots of fun for everyone. There is no entry fee for this event. The market can be found at 132 Government Complex Drive in Whiteville.   

Southeastern Community College, the HEARTS Foundation, and Columbus County Parks and Recreation are teaming up to present their Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 6-8 p.m. at the SCC. There will be costume and trunk contests, games, food, candy, and lots of fun at the event.

When you’re done grabbing all that candy at SCC, take a little five-minute trip down the road to the animal shelter for some more goodies and furbabies. Columbus County Sheriff’s Animal Protective Services will be joining in on the Halloween fun in the name of animal adoption this year. ‘A Nightmare on Paw Street’ will take place on Oct. 30 from 7-9 p.m. 

You and your family can have a ‘pawsitively’ good time with a furry friend to take home. There will be music, games, food with no tricks and all treats. APS is located at 288 Legion Drive in Whiteville. 

Premier Living and Rehab Center in Lake Waccamaw will have their Trunk or Treat on Oct. 30 from 5-8 p.m. There will be free hotdogs, a bouncy house, and lots of candy. The facility’s address is 106 Cameron Street.  

The Hallsboro community will have their annual Trunk or Treat on Friday, Oct. 31. Those interested in participating can contact Laura Elizabeth or Tony Robinson via Facebook. 

The Shoreland Retirement Center will have trick or treating for the kiddos on Oct. 31 from 4-7 p.m. at the rest home. It can be found at 200 Flowers Pridgen Drive in Whiteville.  

Antioch Baptist Church will have their fall festival on Friday, Oct. 31, from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be a cake walk, trunk or treat, hayride, games, and food. The church is located at 1463 Antioch Church Road in Whiteville.
