In the SFGA tournament held Tuesday at Lakewood Country Club, Marvin Eaton, Wilber Simmons, Elvin Meares, and James Hammond won the tournament with a 115 under the best two scores Texas Scramble format. Second place was a tie between the teams of John Blake, Ron Tart, Breece Horton and Charles Hungerford, and Johhny Wallace, John McGougan, David Medlin and Rudy Taylor. Land 0′ Lakes Member-Guest
Land O’ Lakes will have its Member-Guest Tournament on Oct. 4-5. Deadline to register is Sept. 29, and registration is $100 per person. There will be a best ball format and Texas scramble format on Sunday. The shotgun start is at 10 a.m. Players need to have an established handicap. For more information call 910.642.5757.
4th Annual Augustine Tournament
The Fourth Annual Augustine Family Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 25 at Vineyard Golf of White Lake. The tournament will start at 10 a.m. The cost is $125 per person or $500 per team for the Captain’s Choice (Scramble) event.
