Nathan Long, 82, of Chadbourn, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at McLeod Seacoast Hospital in Little River.
Nathan was born on August 1, 1943, son of the late Inez Nobles Long and Nolan Long. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Ward, Doris Strickland, Velma Spruill, Debbie Etheridge, and Brenda Hilbourn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ward Station Church of God Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 1:00-1:45 p.m. prior to the service on Tuesday.
The surviving family includes his wife, Barbara Ann Lee Long; children, Sylvia Ezzell (Bobby), Phyllis McPherson (Glenn), Carol Sellers, Rebecca Hewett (Fabian), Nada Weatherford and her husband, which was a special son-in-law, Billy; grandchildren, Corey McPherson, Wesley Williams, Emily Hewett, Tristan Sellers, Cole Weatherford, Brooke Hewett; great-grandchildren, Bracyson McPherson, Levi McPherson, Cashlynn Williams, and Jaxton Sibbett.
