A search warrant in the Pleasant Plains community shut down an alleged drug dealer after multiple complaints by the public, according to the sheriff’s office.

Joe Russell Menser, 46, of 940 Singletary Rd., Whiteville, was held under $40,000 secured bond after his arrest Sept. 10, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. Menser is charged with felony possession of cocaine, attempted possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, maintaining a place for drug activities, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, and drug paraphernalia.

Multiple citizen complaints led to an investigation and a search warrant, Sheriff Bill Rogers said in a press release.
