Three Jailed After Evergreen Raids

Three men were jailed Thursday after an extensive investigation into narcotics sales in Evergreen, the sheriff’s office said in a press release.

Brothers Anthony and Antonio Ward of 80 Ward Village Drive and Antonio Floyd of 88 Sandy Ridge Drive were the subjects of multiple complaints by area residents, Sheriff Bill Rogers said in a press release.

Detention center reports and warrants show that Antonio Ward, 39, was charged with trafficking in MDMA and cocaine, possession with intent to sell and distribute marijuana and cocaine; drug paraphernalia, and killing a dog by starvation. His bond was set at $110,000.

Anthony Ward, 40, was charged with multiple counts of possession of possession of a firearm by a felon, and held under $50,000 secured bond.

Antonio Floyd, 39, faces charges of possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and marijuana; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver narcotics; maintain ing a building for drug activities; destroying evidence; resisting an officer, and possession of drug and marijuana paraphernalia. His bond was set at $15,000 secured.

Warrants show that Antonio Floyd allegedly locked himself inside a storage building on the property and was attempting to destroy cocaine when he was arrested.

As was reported in a previous story, Antonio Ward is alleged to have intentionally starved a dog to death. The animal was found on the property during his arrest.

Detectives seized multiple firearms and narcotics in the case, according to the press release. The search warrants were carried out at three separate locations with assistance from the Special Operations Division, including the Heavy Enforcement Action Team (H.E.A.T.), ATF Task Force Officer, and SWAT. Additional support was provided by the Criminal Investigations Division (CID), Investigative K9, Civil, and Patrol Divisions.
