
Community tips led to the arrest of another alleged drug dealer Sept.10, according to the sheriff’s office.
James Nathan Stephens, 37, of 1412 Golf Course Rd., Whiteville, was arrested by Vice-Narcotics Detectives and the Special Operations Unit, according to aa release from the sheriff’s office. He was held under $250,000 secured bond on two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver the drug, maintaining a place for drug activities and drug paraphernalia.
The sheriff’s office said citizen complaints about suspicious activity led to an investigation into Stephens. A series of undercover operations developed evidence that Stephens was allegedly selling crystal meth, the report said.
