The girl injured Saturday in an ATV crash in Hallsboro has died.
Remmi Jayms Noble, 12, was seriously injured while riding a side-by-side with two other girls at a home on Elbow Road, Sheriff Bill Rogers said. Lake Waccamaw Fire and Rescue Chief Ron Sasser said the other two girls sustained some injuries, but were later released from Columbus regional.
Remmi was transported to UNC Hospitals. Family members said on social media that she died Tuesday evening.
An avid dancer, Remmi attended classes at Simply Dance. The dance academy posted on social media that “She loved to dance and would tear up any stage she stood on. She loved her family and her friends. Most importantly she loved Jesus.”
Her father Jamie thanked everyone for their prayers and concerns.
“We have been overwhelmed with gratitude for the outpouring of love and support our family has received over these last few difficult days,” he said in a social media post. “The Lord decided to answer our prayers much differently than we had hoped….Thank you, Lord, for the 12 year we had with our bubbly, magnetic, full of life, volleyball, animal, dance loving, sweet sweet baby girl.”
Worthington Funeral Home of Chadbourn is handling arrangements for the family.
