East Bladen Demolishes East Columbus 44-6

LAKE WACCAMAW–East Bladen had a rough patch of games in a couple of days due to weather and decided to take it out on East Columbus Friday night, crushing East Columbus 44-6.

The Eagles lost two conference games in four days due to the weather before this contest. Dashon Campbell got things started for the Eagles with a touchdown from two yards out with 3:25 left in the first quarter. Jaden Lewis extended the Eagles lead with a 67-yard sprint to the house to put East Bladen ahead 14-0. Dawson Crosby answered back for the Gators on a three yard touchdown run to make it 14-6 East Bladen at the half.

East Bladen blew the game open with a 24-point third quarter. Jaden Lewis, who paced the Eagles with 202 yards, scored back to back touchdowns to make his total three for the night. Dashon Campbell added a four-yard touchdown late in the third quarter to push the lead to 38-6. Keyshawn Kemp also added a score to make the final 44-6.

East Bladen, 2-2 in the Carolina Conference and 5-3 on the season, were led by Jalen Lewis with 202 yards and three touchdowns. They will host Lakewood (3-0, 5-2) Oct. 17 in a key conference matchup. East Columbus were paced by Dawson Crosby with 86 total yards and a touchdown. The Gators (1-3, 2-6) will host North Duplin (2-1, 6-1) Oct. 17.
