The SFGA tournament was at Land O’ Lakes Golf Course at Whiteville Oct. 14. The team of Rudy Taylor, Chris Smith, Breece Horton, and Wilber Simmons won with a 56. Linwood Hedgepeth, Richard Davis, Billy Storms and Alick Mansfield took second place with a score of 57. Rudy Pait, Craig Gore, Elvin Meares, and Rodney Warwick shot a 59 for third place. Veterans Association Golf Tournament
On Oct. 19, Vineyard Golf of White Lake held the Veterans Association Golf Tournament. The flight winners were in each category were: Veteran A. Lamont James; Female Veteran A. Lauren Neal; Veteran B. Tim Staton; Veteran C. Mike Wallace; Female Veteran C. Robin Staton; Veteran D. Kyle Meska; Female Veteran D. Ronda Lasater; Wounded Veteran C. Eric Hazelwood; Senior B. Todd Clayman and Senior C. Kenneth Roberts; Female Senior Linda L. Korbel; Female Family Penelope Oakley; Family B. Joey Todd; Family C. William Davis; N.H. Walter Ritter, and Senior B. Todd Clayman.
Fourth Annual Augustine Tournament
The Fourth Annual Augustine Family Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Oct. 25 at Vineyard Golf of White Lake. The tournament will start at 10 a.m. The cost is $125 per person or $500 per team for the Captain’s Choice (Scramble) event.
