Deputies are searching for the thief who has been taking gravel from a Hallsboro diner.
The owner of Gwen’s Café contacted the sheriff’s office Tuesday after noticing a pile of crusher run slated for repairing the parking area was noticeably smaller. The victim told deputies the $1,000 load had been delivered several weeks ago. The business is located on Hallsboro Road South.
The actual amount of stolen material is not known. The sheriff’s office is investigating.
