Three Jailed in Narcotics Raid

Three men were charged after county Vice-Narcotics detectives raided a Whiteville home Thursday.

Brandon Tyler Butler, 30, Ricky Dale Butler Sr., 60, and Cameron Quattlebaum, 26, were arrested after an investigation sparked by citizen complaints, the sheriff’s office said in a press release. Brandon Butler listed their addresses as 203 Love Mill Rd., Whiteville on court documents. Ricky Butler gave his address as 56 Green’s Pond Rd., Elizabethtown. Quattlebaum’s address was listed as 205 W. Burkhead St., Whiteville.

Detectives discovered Trafficking” amounts of narcotics when they executed the search warrant, the news release said. Brandon Butler was charged with two counts each of trafficking in opiates and possession with intent to manufacture, dell and deliver oxycodone and hydrocodone; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver alprazolam; maintaining a home (201 Love Mill Rd.) for drug activities; and two counts of possession of paraphernalia. He was released on $125,000 secured bond.

Ricky Dale Butler was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, and released on $50,000 secured bond. He was previously convicted of breaking and entering, court documents show.

Quattlebaum was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a $500 unsecured bond.
