Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Dry weather will prevail through the next 5-7 days. Here’s the model blend rain forecast through early next Monday.
A cold front will sweep down across the area late today, but we’re not going to notice much with that except for dramatically colder temps for Thursday, Thursday night, and Friday. Lows will drop deep into the 40s Thursday night/early Friday… I wouldn’t be surprised to see an isolated 39-degree reading around sunrise Friday. Absolutely no frost threat.
We’ll have a brief warm-up this weekend before another cold front cruises through late Sunday. There could be a few isolated rain showers with that one, but I doubt it.
TROPICS: Lorenzo is… hanging in there… but only barely. The spaghetti plots still have the storm, or it’s remnants, making a loop in the central tropical Atlantic. Conditions might become favorable for the storm to regenerate sometime next week.
I’m still going to watch the Caribbean for possible development in the next week or two. Nothing being monitored at this time by the NHC.
There are no tropical threats to the Carolinas for the foreseeable future.
