A shooting in Bladen County led to the arrest of a Whiteville woman Wednesday.
Alisa Michelle Rich, 50, of 148 Twin Pines Circle, was held without bond pending a first appearance in Bladen County court. She was charged with a single count of attempted murder, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.
Deputies were called to Oakdale Apartments around 8:30 a.m. to a report of shots fired. They found Crag A. Rich with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS transported Rich to an area hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Witnesses identified Alisa Rich as the suspect in the case. She was taken into custody without incident in Columbus County shortly after the shooting.
Sheriff Jim McVicker of Bladen County said the shooting resulted from a domestic dispute. The investigation is continuing.
