Daniel “Dan” McLeod Sanders age 84, of Tabor City died Wednesday, November 19, 2025, in his home surrounded by his family.
Born September 4, 1941 in New Hanover County, NC, he was the son of the late Ernest Coleman Sanders and Annie Maude McLeod.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his wife Annette Sharrett Sanders of the home. Three sons, Lance Sanders and wife Carole, Patrick Sanders and wife Shawn, Charlie Sanders and wife Maggie; one brother, Roderick “Rod” Sanders and wife Donna, five grandchildren, Lindsay Dhirha (Banda), Daniel Sanders (Krissy), Nathan Sanders, Ameila Sanders, Alexis Roberts; and great- grandchildren, Colter and Carson.
