Jack Timothy Carter, born on February 3, 1954, to Jack D. and Grace Carter, passed away peacefully in his home. Jack Timothy lived a quiet, thoughtful life- one marked by curiosity and a deep appreciation for learning. Long before computers became a part of everyday life, Jack Timothy was fascinated by them. He studied computing in the 1970s and carried his interest through the years.
Jack Timothy had a gentle spirit and a kind heart. He treasured time spent with his beloved sister, whose companionship brought him joy and comfort throughout his life. Like his father, Jack Timothy had a natural gift for music. He played the piano beautifully and shared that talent with his church community while growing up.
Though he had no spouse or children, Jack Timothy was loved by his family. He is survived by his two brothers and his sister: Judy Carter Elkins, Colon Carter, and Tony Carter.
Jack Timothy will be remembered for the quiet spirit and sincerity with which he walked through life. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now at peace, reunited with those who went before him, and held in God’s gentle embrace.
He will be deeply missed.
Graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Piney Forest Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Willard McPherson officiating.
