Betty Stanley has been found safe in Sampson County after running out of fuel.
Lake Waccamaw Police Chief Corey Finch said Mrs. Stanley, 85, was found at the intersection N.C 24 and N.C. 242 this morning. She was taken to a hospital for evaluation, Finch said, and reunited with her family en route.
Mrs. Stanley was last seen Tuesday in Leland, after she was stopped by a Leland Police officer. A Silver Alert was issued Wednesday.
