Teen Charged in Second Break-in at Vape Store

The second time wasn’t exactly the charm for a juvenile who broke into a Whiteville vape shop.

Whiteville Police were called to the World Vape and Tobacco at the intersection of West Williamson and J.K. Powell shortly before 11 a.m. on Nov. 4, according to a report. Employees discovered an alleged break-in had occurred earlier that day.

The next morning, police were called back to the store just before 8 a.m. The youth allegedly was successful in his second attempt, and gained entry through the back door. He got away with $90 worth of cigarettes, vapes and THC products.

The boy was identified and later detained by police, according to Deputy Chief Andre Jackson. A juvenile petition has been filed against him.

The youth’s name was not released due to his age.
