Here’s today’s Bottom Line

Dry weather with worsening drought conditions will persist through the entire week.

High pressure builds in today behind a cold front which moved through during the night. It’ll be noticeably colder today with highs only in the lower to middle 60s (we reached 80 yesterday).

High pressure directly overhead tonight means calm winds and pretty widespread frost with lows down to the mid 30s.

The high will move to the east on Tuesday allowing a southwesterly wind flow with temps shooting back up to around 70.

A weak little disturbance passes over the area Tuesday night and this MIGHT trigger an isolated light rain shower, but I doubt it. Much warmer lows in the upper 40s.

A robust southwesterly flow becomes dominant Wednesday into the weekend with high pressure off to our southeast. Dry weather and unseasonably warm temps once again flirting with the 80-degree mark, especially Thursday and Friday. The next frontal system starts to approach on Saturday with more in the way of cloudiness, but no rain is expected before Sunday.

TROPICS:   No concerns.  From this point forward, I will only highlight tropics if there’s something in development.  I believe we’re done with tropical threats for the season.
