WHITEVILLE—Ceonna Dennis pumped in 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Wolfpack ran past South Columbus 56-40. It was the 12th double-double of the year for Dennis.
With the win, Whiteville moves to 3-2 in the conference and 6-9 on the year. The Stallions hung tough through the first half of the third quarter, with the score tied 26-26 with 4:04 left in the quarter.
Whiteville went on a 10-0 run with South Columbus calling a timeout to stop the momentum and the Pack didn’t look back. Asia Smith added 10 points in the victory. The Wolfpack will travel to the Swamp to take on East Columbus (10-4) today (Thursday). South Columbus (1-4, 3-13) was led by Addison Faulk with 11 points. Makayla Moore added 10 points in the loss. South Columbus will host Fairmont (1-4, 3-13) Friday.

NEWTON GROVE—East Bladen cruised to a 62-5 blowout of Hobbton on Tuesday night. The Eagles move to 5-2 in the Carolina Conference and 14-4 on the year. Niyah Wooten led the Eagles with 12 points while Ariel Cromartie added 11 points. East Bladen will travel to North Duplin (7-1, 14-4) on Thursday in a key conference battle.

BOILING SPRINGS—South Brunswick held the Knights to five second half points with none scored in the third quarter as the Cougars basted West Bladen 63-18 on Tuesday night.
Meryn Deutsch led South Brunswick (4-1, 11-2) with 30 points while teammate Adyson Bell added 22 points and seven rebounds in the victory. Kali Allen led the Knights with 11 points. South Brunswick will go to Red Springs (0-4, 2-14) on Friday. West Bladen (2-3, (4-12) will host Whiteville (3-2, 6-9) on Friday.

Demeya Powell grabbed 12 rebounds in the loss. Lakewood (5-3, 11-7) will travel to Union (3-5, 9-9) on Friday. West Columbus (1-7, -13) will travel to county rival East Columbus (6-1, 10-4) Friday.
