A Bladenboro man has been charged with murder after the death of a reported romantic partner.
Thomas Latrevis Howell, 36, of the Bladenboro area, is being held under no bond, charged with first degree murder, the Bladen Sheriff’s Office announced.
Deputies were called to Tina’s Lane in the Clarkton are around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday to a domestic disturbance. While en route they were notified that Alisha Jones had been injured and was being taken by private vehicle to Bladen County Hospital.
Jones was pronounced dead before deputies arrived. Howell was detained pending the investigation, and later charged with murder. Howell and Jones were reportedly in a relationship, BCSO said in a press release. The investigation is continuing.
