Here’s today’s Bottom Line:
From a weather-geek standpoint, the weather for the next several days will be quite boring. But honestly, boring is good.
Unseasonable warmth will continue into the weekend, with dry weather through Friday. The overall “big picture” pattern is one of a southerly to southwesterly flow of warm air. However, a little wrinkle in that is a cold front (if you want to call it that) will drop down over the area Wednesday evening. This will result in temporarily “cooler” temps Wednesday night and Thursday.
Temps really ramp back up on Friday ahead of a rather robust cold front. This front will sweep through Saturday afternoon. Some shower activity is possible Friday night, but the better likelihood is with the frontal passage on Saturday. There may be just enough instability with the immediate front that we hear a rumble of thunder, but that’s not likely.
We turn cooler again behind the front… actually temperatures returning closer to seasonal normal values for Sunday into the following week.
Longer-range modeling indicates another prolonged period of dry weather running into the middle of the month.
