DUBLIN—Jackson Pait set a school record 45 points against Whiteville Friday night as the Knights crushed Whiteville 80-59.
Pait’s eight three-pointers set the tone for the Knights, who move to 6-0 in the Carolina Conference and 15-5 overall. Whiteville (3-3, 9-9) stayed close with the Knights, trailing 28-26 with 3:56 left in the second quarter. West Bladen went on a 10-0 run and never looked back.
Whiteville got in foul trouble and could never make a run. The Knights defense caused 28 turnovers for the Pack, leading to blowout victory.
Tylik McCall added 15 points for the Knights and Jamari Adams Peterson contributed 11 points in the win. The Knights will travel to Fairmont (4-2, 8-11) Tuesday. Teron Legette turned in a solid game for the Wolfpack scoring 15 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in the loss. Trayvionne Williams scored 12 points and TyLae Rose added 11 for the Pack.

LAKE WACCAMAW—East Columbus blew open a close game in the fourth quarter to defeat West Columbus 53-43 on Friday. The Gators were only up by two 31-29 at the end of the third quarter but put up 22 points in the fourth quarter to take the defensive battle. The victory put East Columbus at 6-2 in the Carolina Conference and 8-8 on the year. The Gators host Union (2-7, 4-14) in the Swamp on Tuesday. West Columbus falls to 6-3 in the conference and 8-11 on the season. The Vikings go to East Bladen (5-3, 5-13) on Tuesday.

Fairmont 64, South Columbus 31
TABOR CITY—Fairmont used a 39-point second half to defeat South Columbus 64-31 on Thursday night. Fairmont (4-2, (8-11) also held the Stallions to four points in the fourth quarter. South Columbus (0-6, 8-11) will host Red Springs (1-4, 3-14) Tuesday night.
