One man is in custody after allegedly racking up $1,300 on a stolen credit card.
Dorrion McArthur, 21, of 475 Spring Hill Dr., Whiteville, was held under $7,500 secured bond, charged with larceny by employee, two counts of financial card theft, and 20 counts of obtaining property by false pretense, according to detention center records.
The sheriff’s office reported that the owner of B Glorified in Bolton contacted deputies Feb. 8 after discovering that McArthur, an employee of the business, had allegedly taken a credit card from a company truck. He then used the card to make $1,306 in personal purchases, the report said. The card was set aside for fuel purchases only and was not to removed from the vehicle, according to the report.
McArthur was taken into custody Feb. 12 around 6:30 p.m.
