Tuesday’s party primaries will determine who will be the nominees from the major parties on the November ballot. A number of races will be determined in the primaries, since only candidates from one party signed up to run. In some cases, parties only fielded single candidates, which means those hopefuls will automatically move forward to the November election.
Early voting ends Saturday at 3 p.m. There are no Sunday polls in Columbus this election cycle.
Voters who opt to cast a ballot on Election Day (Tuesday) must go to their assigned precincts.
A valid form of authorized is also required to cast a ballot in the Tuesday primary. Voter IDs can be obtained for free at the Board of Elections office only through Saturday.
