ROSE HILL—East Columbus held Union to one hit as the Gators crushed the Spartans in baseball 28-0 on Thursday night.
The Gators scored 26 runs in the first and two in the second and showed sportsmanship the rest of the game. The win puts East Columbus 2-1 in the Carolina Conference and 5-3 on the season. The Gators will host Lakewood (0-2, 0-6) on March 24. Union falls to 0-3 in the conference and 0-10 on the year. Union will travel to Lakewood on Monday.

CERRO GORDO—East Bladen scored six runs in the top of the seventh inning to break up a close ball game to defeat West Columbus 11-6 on Thursday night. The score was 5-4 going into the seventh when the Eagles bats came alive. Colton Dailey and Jayce Hatcher had two hits and three RBI’s each. East Bladen moves to 2-0 in the Carolina Conference and 3-4 on the season. They will host county-rival West Bladen (6-1) on Monday. West Columbus (3-1, 4-2) will go to Hobbton (2-0, 4-2) on March 24.

LATTA, S.C. – JT Hepler went three for four including a homerun and four RBI’s to lead West Bladen past Latta on Friday.
Ashton Davis added two hits and two RBI’s while teammate Tyler Lewis pitched a 3-hittter while only giving up two runs. Lewis also struck out seven on the night. West Bladen moved to 7-1 on the season with the win. The Knights return to South Carolina on Saturday to face North Myrtle Beach (8-0). Latta (5-3) will host Wilson (SC) (2-7) on Tuesday.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.—Kaden Lank went 2-4 with four RBIs as North Myrtle Beach defeated West Bladen 8-4 Saturday afternoon in baseball. The win moves the Chiefs to 9-0 on the season. Chase Bryan had three hits and an RBI’s in the loss for the Knights. North Myrtle Beach will host Socastee (3-4) on Monday. The Knights fall to 7-2 with the loss. West Bladen will travel to Whiteville (5-3) on Tuesday in the Southeastern Conference opener for both squads.
