Here’s today’s Bottom Line:

Greetings folks. We ate a little humble pie yesterday with the largely busted forecast… but on the good side, there was no property destruction, no lives ruined by tornadoes, so all-in-all I’ll take the busted forecast.

Much quieter weather today with bright sunshine, but our highs will struggle to the 50-degree mark. By comparison, our normal high is 65.

Next up… a FREEZE WARNING for late tonight into early Wednesday. With strong high pressure and very dry air in place, temps will go down, down, down tonight after the sun goes down. We’ll be in the upper 20s by daybreak Wednesday, but some of the normally colder spots could be down in the lower or middle 20s. Brrr.

We won’t do much better on Wednesday. Despite full sunshine we will only be in the lower to middle 50s.

Patchy areas of frost are likely Wednesday night into early Thursday as we drop back into the lower and middle 30s.

Dry weather with a steady warming trend can be expected right through the weekend. Outside of the freeze warning, there are no weather hazards on the horizon. Temperatures through the end of the month appear to be on a roller-coaster ride, but modeling doesn’t show anything close to frost danger after this week.
