EAST COLUMBUS 21, SCOTLAND COUNTY 5
PEMBROKE—East Columbus crushed Scotland County 21-5 Monday in the second round of the Robeson County Softball Slugfest.
Skylah Collins led the Gators with two hits and three RBI’s with one of those hits being a homerun. Scotland fell to 9-7 on the year. East Columbus advanced to the championship game on Tuesday against Purnell Swett.

PURNELL SWETT 5, EAST COLUMBUS 4
PEMBROKE—Purnell Swett knocked in two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to comeback against East Columbus 5-4 to win the Robeson County Softball Slugfest Championship on Tuesday. Aleigh Godwin led the Gators with a homerun and a RBI. Jenna King and Kamora Bryant made the All-Tournament Team for East Columbus. The Gators (5-1, 11-4) will get back into Carolina Conference action on April 14 against West Columbus (3-3, 3-7).
WEST STANLEY 10, EAST BLADEN 0
SHALLOTTE—Freshman Abby Hartsell went two for three with four RBI’s to lead West Stanley past East Bladen 10-0 on Monday in the Beach Diamond Softball Tournament. East Bladen managed only one hit in the contest. The Eagles will face South Point in Shallotte on Tuesday.

SHALLOTTE—South Point (7-6) defeated East Bladen 16-6 in the consolation bracket of the Beach Diamond Softball Tournament on Tuesday. Jenna Brice had two hits, a homerun, and three RBI’s while teammate Niyah Wooten had two hits, a homerun, and a RBI in the loss. East Bladen will face North Brunswick on Wednesday.

SHALLOTTE—North Brunswick downed East Bladen 12-5 in the consolation bracket of the Beach Diamond Softball Tournament. The Eagles (5-9) placed eighth in the tournament. Niyah Wooten had two hits and two RBI’s for the Eagles and Grayce Edwards was 4-4 and scored three runs. Tatum Allen also went 3-3 for East Bladen in the loss. East Bladen (3-2, 5-9) will get back in Carolina Conference action on April 16 when the Eagles will host North Duplin (4-1, 7-1).
