Deputies arrested a Bladen County suspect during a traffic stop in Delco March 31, according to the sheriff’s office.
Benetta Renee White, 52, was charged with five counts of failure to appear in Bladen District Court. Court records show she also has pending charges of felony child abuse, inflicting serious injury. White was held under a total bond of $89,500, according to jail records. Her address was listed as 607 Woodyard Rd., Riegelwood.
In a press release, the sheriff’s office said deputies were patrolling the area as the result of complaints about drug activity and “traffic concerns”. Deputies recognized White and knew she did not have a valid driver’s license, the report said, and executed a traffic stop.
A records check showed she was wanted in Bladen County.
